THE Australian Museum of Flight in Nowra has received a $10,000 State Government grant to help promote its next air show in May.
Museum director Neil Ralph said the 2004 air show attracted 11,000 people and he was confident of a similar response for the 2005 event on May 8. He said the partnership funding and the expected support from restaurants, accommodation and tourism operators would help maximise opportunities. Tourism Minister Sandra Nori said the funding was from the Regional Partnerships Events program, designed to encourage tourism in regional areas. The application enabled the museum to develop a blueprint that could be used as a guide for future air shows.
